Swedish security service confirms sabotage on Nord Streams
MOSCOW, Nov 18 (PRIME) -- The Swedish Security Service has confirmed sabotage on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, the authority said in a statement on Friday.
"The Swedish Security Service is working intensively on the investigation regarding the detonations at the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines. This investigation shows that the pipelines have been subject to gross sabotage," the authority said.
The service documented a large-scale damage on the pipelines and found foreign bodies with a residue of explosives.
The authority continues the investigation jointly with the national police, army and the coast guard. "The advanced analysis work is still in progress – the aim is to draw more definitive conclusions about the Nord Stream incidents," the service said.
